Children

The family of God is made up of people of all ages and no Church is complete without children. Every child is welcome at St James’.

We have a dedicated area in the South aisle, with soft mats, books and toys that families with young children are welcome to come and explore whenever the church is open, and particularly during our Stay and Play on Mondays 9.30 to 11am.

At every 10am Sunday mass there is an activity that is linked to the readings of the day that is led by our volunteer children’s helper. Children of all ages are also always welcome to serve at the 10am mass – just let Mthr Helen know if you’d like to take part in the mass in that way.
