After the Resurrection, a few of the disciples walked together from Jerusalem to Emmaus, about nine miles away.
Of course they were talking about Jesus and especially about what had happened in the last week of Jesus’ life.
The friends needed the chance to discuss what had occurred and to try and make sense of it all.
During that journey, they found answers to their questions although they did not realise it was Jesus himself who was there with them.
As part of the educational programme at St James’ we hold informal discussions after Mass on the 2nd Sunday of each month. The name ‘Talking Heads’ has been coined to reinforce the fact that these sessions are not lectures but a real chance to discuss our faith in an informal and collaborative way.
Themes are published in advance and anyone is welcome to take part.
