‘Prayers Together for Islington’ is an early morning prayer service that meets monthly in one of the local churches, in the style of that particular Church. It is often followed by breakfast.
In 2011 PTI organised a continuous reading of the 1662 King James Bible outside Waterstones on Islington Green. This event was supported by almost every Christian church, south of Holloway Road. All the money raised was donated to ‘Islington Giving’.
Each Good Friday the churches combine in a public act of witness. Starting at the N1 Centre, well over 300 people walk to St Mary’s Church in Upper Street for a service of prayer and reflection.
St James’ has a special link with the Association of Inter-Church families.
